The Park Centre

The Alzheimers Society asked me to provide a basic layout for the site they were renovating at the Botanical gardens to use as an elderly day care centre and general community facility. The ex-outdoor bowling green and club rooms have been transformed by Presbyterian Support into a lovely space for the community, especially the elderly to use for a variety of activities. The design achieves three important functions;

1) safe pick up and drop off by taxis and vans.

2) spaces that are inviting and accessible to venture outside

3) peacefulness and tranquility to relax troubled minds - especially those suffering from dementia.
